  • Neurologist Consultation
  • MRI Brain Scan
  • Cognitive Assessment/ Brain Function Screen
  • Comprehensive Blood Tests

This package offers a comprehensive assessment of brain structure, cognitive abilities, and medical factors that may influence memory.

Dementia Screening Package is designed for individuals who want to better understand changes in memory, concentration, thinking, mood, or behaviour. Dementia is a progressive condition that can affect memory, decision-making, communication, and daily activities. One of the most common types is Alzheimer’s disease, and early signs are often mistaken for normal ageing.

This package provides a clinically guided assessment to help identify early signs of cognitive decline and possible medical factors that may affect brain health. It combines specialist consultation, brain imaging, cognitive assessment, and comprehensive blood tests to give patients and families clearer insights and peace of mind.

Available at Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, this package is suitable for international patients aged 40 and above, individuals experiencing frequent forgetfulness, those with difficulty concentrating, people with a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or brain-related conditions, or anyone noticing changes in mood, behaviour, or awareness of time and place.

Why Consider Dementia Screening?

Memory changes can be subtle at first, and early symptoms are often overlooked as normal ageing. However, dementia and related cognitive conditions may develop gradually over time. Screening helps patients and families gain clarity by assessing memory, thinking ability, brain structure, and medical factors that may affect cognitive function.

Early detection can make a meaningful difference. It allows patients to seek timely medical advice, manage risk factors, plan future care, and make informed decisions with their loved ones.

Signs That May Suggest Cognitive Decline

You may consider speaking to a doctor if you or your loved one experiences:

  • Frequent forgetfulness that affects daily life
  • Difficulty concentrating or completing familiar tasks
  • Confusion with time, place, or appointments
  • Repeatedly asking the same questions
  • Changes in mood, behaviour, or personality
  • Difficulty finding words or following conversations
  • Family history of Alzheimer’s disease or other brain-related conditions

What is Dementia Screening Package?
Dementia Screening Package is a specialist-led assessment designed to help identify early signs of cognitive decline, memory changes, and possible brain health concerns. It includes clinical evaluation and diagnostic tests to support a clearer understanding of cognitive health.

Who should consider dementia screening?
This package may be suitable for individuals aged 40 and above, people experiencing frequent forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, confusion with time or place, mood or behaviour changes, or those with a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or brain-related conditions.
