Do I need an eye assessment before ZEISS SMILE Lasik?
Yes. A pre-operative eye assessment is required to determine whether your eyes are suitable for ZEISS SMILE Lasik. The doctor will assess factors such as prescription stability, corneal thickness, eye health, and other suitability criteria.
Is the deposit refundable if I am not suitable for LASIK surgery?
Yes. The deposit is refundable if the doctor assesses and confirms that you are not suitable for LASIK surgery after the required eye assessment. Patients are advised to confirm the refund process and terms before booking.
Can international patients book ZEISS SMILE Lasik in Malaysia?
Yes. International patients may arrange an appointment at Sunway Eye Centre, Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City Kuala Lumpur. Patients travelling from overseas should plan sufficient time in Malaysia for assessment, procedure, and follow-up review.
- This package is valid for International Patients only.
- This package is only applicable to adults aged 18 to 40 years.
- Prices are based on per person basis, in Malaysian currency (RM).
- This package includes surgery fees and one set of post-operative medications.
- This package excludes the pre-operative eye assessment fee of RM200, post-operative follow-up consultation fees, additional medication and the 6% Sales and Service Tax (SST) applicable to all international patients.
- We recommend staying for a minimum of 3 days if you wish to complete both the eye assessment and the procedure in a single trip. Please note that the eye assessment and surgery cannot be performed on the same day.
- A Sign-Up Fee of RM500 is required to confirm the booking. 6% SST will be applied on this fee at the time of payment.
- The remaining balance of the package will also be subject to 6% SST, which will be charged upon confirmation and completion of the procedure.
- Eligibility for package will be determined after the pre-operative full eye assessment. In the event the patient is assessed to be medically unfit to undergo the procedure, only the eye assessment fee of RM 200 shall be applicable. The balance of the sign-up fee (RM500) can be transferred to other vision correction options, or can be refunded if patient’s eye conditions are deemed not suitable to undergo any types of laser vision correction surgery.
- Please lay off soft contact lens at least 1 week prior the eye assessment
- Deposit is non-refundable if the client withdrawn despite was deemed fit to undergo laser vision correction procedures.
- Confirmed orders are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- This package is valid for procedures performed by Dr Umi Kalthum or Dr. Daphne Teh only, subject to the respective ophthalmologist's availability. Patients may indicate their preferred ophthalmologist when scheduling their appointment. For continuity of care, patients are encouraged to consult the same ophthalmologist throughout their treatment journey, as consultation approaches and clinical management may vary between doctors.
- The first twenty (20) patients who successfully sign up for and are eligible for this package will receive one (1) Xiaomi Mi Band, subject to stock availability.
- Appointment is strictly required; walk-in patients will not be accepted.
