Our neurosurgeons treat conditions of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and extracranial cerebrovascular system, using both traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Beyond brain surgery, the team is trained to manage back and neck pain, spinal cord herniation, spinal tumours, head and spinal cord trauma, infections and certain movement disorders. A key offering is stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) using the Leksell Gamma Knife® Icon™, a highly precise, non-invasive treatment that targets abnormal tissue with a focused beam of radiation while sparing healthy surrounding structures.

This advanced linear accelerator (LINAC) delivers highly precise external radiotherapy, using sophisticated 3D imaging to target tumours of virtually any shape, size or location with sub-millimetre accuracy. The system continuously synchronises imaging, patient positioning and beam shaping throughout treatment, performing accuracy checks every ten milliseconds, making it a safe, pain-free option for treating tumours from head to toe.

rTMS is a non-invasive, outpatient brain stimulation therapy that uses magnetic pulses to target specific areas of the brain, without the need for surgery, anaesthesia or downtime. It's used to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, chronic migraine and aspects of stroke rehabilitation, typically delivered as daily sessions over four to six weeks.

PET/CT combines two imaging technologies in one scan: PET, which shows how active cells are, and CT, which shows the body's detailed structure. This combination gives a more accurate picture of conditions such as cancer, brain disorders, heart disease and inflammatory conditions, helping doctors see both where an issue is and how active it is.

With twice the field strength of most conventional MRI scanners, 3T MRI delivers faster scans and sharper, more detailed images for a more accurate diagnosis. It's especially valuable for brain and spinal imaging, as well as functional imaging techniques such as spectroscopy and brain fibre tracking, giving neurologists a clearer view of both structure and function.

SPECT/CT combines a SPECT scan, which shows how organs and tissues are functioning, with a CT scan, which shows their detailed structure. This combination helps doctors pinpoint the exact location of an abnormality while understanding how it's behaving, useful for a range of conditions from bone metastases to cardiac blood flow.

General X-ray remains one of the fastest and most widely used forms of medical imaging, using a low radiation dose to capture images of the body's internal structures. It's commonly used to detect fractures, identify injuries or infections, and locate abnormalities in organs such as the lungs.

An EEG records the brain's electrical activity through small electrodes placed on the scalp, giving neurologists important insight into brain health and function. It's especially valuable for detecting epilepsy and seizure disorders, and is also used to investigate unexplained loss of consciousness, confusion, memory loss and certain brain infections. The test is painless and typically takes around one and a half to two and a half hours.

EMG measures the electrical activity of muscles, both at rest and during movement, helping to determine whether unexplained muscle weakness originates from the muscles themselves or from an underlying nerve disorder. It's commonly used to investigate conditions such as muscular dystrophy, pinched nerves, peripheral nerve damage and disc herniation.

Often performed alongside an EMG, this test checks for damage to the peripheral nerves — those connecting the brain and spinal cord to the arms and legs. It's commonly used to diagnose conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and Guillain-Barré syndrome, or to assess nerve damage following an injury or from a condition such as diabetes. The test is non-invasive, low-risk, and generally takes 15 minutes to an hour.

A sleep study, or polysomnogram (PSG), monitors a patient's sleep pattern overnight to diagnose sleep disorders, primarily obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and other snoring-related conditions. Sensors track brain activity, heart rate, breathing, blood oxygen and eye movement throughout the night, with results reviewed by a multidisciplinary panel of respiratory, neurology and ENT specialists.
